Admission to the PhD program is based on a public selection process.
Candidates are admitted to the PhD course through the creation of a ranking list for each project offered in the competition.
The interviews for the SECOND CALL will begin on SEPTEMBER 2nd and 3rd , 2026, at 9:00 AM (CEST), ROOM 22 of the San Miniato Teaching Complex in Via A. Moro, 2, Siena
All candidates with a score of at least 20/40 or higher are allowed to attend the interview.
The results of the evaluation of qualifications will be posted on this page between Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The oral examination is considered passed with a minimum score of 40/60.
Candidates obtaining a final score of at least 60/100 are eligible for inclusion in the admission ranking list for enrollment.
Following the publication of the results of the competitions on the “Albo online”, candidates admitted to enrollment can matriculate through the online Secretariat within the deadline indicated in Art. 5, paragraph 4 of the notice of participation, under penalty of forfeiture of the position. Enrollment is completed with the payment of the fee of € 156.00, which also includes the virtual stamp duty of € 16.00, except in the case of exemptions provided for in article 7, paragraph 3 of the announcement, which only provides for the payment of the stamp from € 16.00.
Candidates residing abroad must formally require the issue of their Italian tax identification number (codice fiscale) and check it matches the “codice fiscale” generated automatically by the online secretary during the enrolment procedure. Please note that “The tax identification number is the mean of identification of natural persons in all relations with public bodies and administrations, and the only valid tax number is the one issued by the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate)”. Information on how to formally obtain the Italian tax identification number can be found on the Agenzia dell'Entrate website.
