Physiology of Reproduction

Our research activity is focused on placental development and maternal-fetal interactions during pregnancy at molecular
and cellular level. Within this context we aim to explore:

  •  Human trophoblast differentiation and function;
  •  Effects of hormones-like environmental chemicals and particular matters on human placenta functions;
  •  Effects of infections on human placenta functions;
  •  Placental development and Impact on fetal growth;
  •  Placental development and Impact on maternal health;
