Botanical Museum

The Botanical Museum was established in 2007 and includes Herbarium and Botanical Garden, two facilities founded in 1856 for botanical study and research.
HERBARIUM: preserves over 100,000 dried plant specimens, is the reference for knowledge and studies on Tuscan plant diversity.
BOTANICAL GARDEN: collects over 1,000 plant species representative of national and international flora. 
The Botanical Museum is part of the Sienese University Museum System (Simus) and the Sienese Museums Foundation (FMS).
