Our research activity is focused on placental development and maternal-fetal interactions during pregnancy at molecular
and cellular level. Within this context we aim to explore:
- Human trophoblast differentiation and function;
- Effects of hormones-like environmental chemicals and particular matters on human placenta functions;
- Effects of infections on human placenta functions;
- Placental development and Impact on fetal growth;
- Placental development and Impact on maternal health;
