EASIER

Description

The laboratory conducts research in the ecological and biogeochemical fields, focusing on isotopic analyses and mercury monitoring in environmental matrices. The isotopic ratios δ¹³C, δ¹⁵N, δ¹⁸O, δ³⁴S, and δ²H (D) are measured using isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS), enabling investigations of food webs, biogeochemical cycles, and nutrient dynamics. Total mercury is quantified at trace and ultra-trace levels through direct analysis techniques that do not require chemical pretreatment,
providing critical data on mercury distribution and bioaccumulation in ecosystems, thereby supporting studies on environmental contamination and ecotoxicological risk.
