Bacterial Genetics and Ecology

The research activity is focused on the genetic and physiological study of cooperation and competition in bacterial populations, with particular attention to:

• persistence of bacterial population under resource-limited conditions (growth advantage in stationary phase);

• nonpathogenic interactions between bacteria and insects;

• antimicrobial activity of natural proteins/peptides
